Applewood-Smoked Whiskey Sour

The Applewood-Smoked Whiskey Sour elevates the traditional cocktail with a tantalizing touch of smokiness. This refreshing mix of whiskey, fresh citrus, and a hint of applewood smoke creates a harmonious balance of sweet, sour, and smoky notes.




  • 2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey

  • 3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup

  • Apple Wood Chips

  • Apple Slice (for garnish)




  1. Place a pinch of apple wood chips in the smoker and ignite.

  2. Smoke the inside of a rocks glass with the apple wood smoke.

  3. In a shaker, combine the whiskey, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup.

  4. Shake vigorously with ice.

  5. Strain the cocktail into the smoked glass filled with ice.

  6. Garnish with a slice of apple.
